Nottingham Trip

This is something that I've always loved - the painting over photography piece. I love the way he only paints over himself and it's always somewhat skin related colours! On this one, he's only painted over his skin and I like the was he shows shape, form and (could be depicted as) muscle tissue. The images are all taken and edited in a way so they look old unless they are taken on polaroid or disposable camera of some sorts which you can tell by the way the colours are quite desaturated.
This one was created using felt pen and then blown up to a larger scale to give the effect of it being large. It had a very sterotypical juvenile feel to it - like what a teen would write in their diary - by the way the front is. Next to it is something that they wrote as a child; about themselves. Favourite colour, favourite toy etc! That is also stems into the way the other one gives off a very juvenile feel to it since it's situated right next too it. I like it.
This illustrative creation called "beautiful inside", I adore. I love the arms with the darker red bones inside, I love the cushions and tea towels they created to go alone side it and the little book they have, too. The book contained lots of nature themed illustrations but mainly body parts! I really love the style they use - it's really pleasant and I love the simplicity, even though to a degree it's complex too with the details of the bones in the arm/hands.
This is an example of what's inside the book. The book included very lovely little illustrations that are very similar to mine. The opposite sides of the pages contained little quotes in a hand-written-style font. I love the illustrations of nature they did and they're a lot like my own which I'm going to be bearing theirs in mind whilst I carry on.

Leg and arm chair! The arms, legs, feet etc are all created out of mod rock cast where somebody can casted their body parts to create said piece. I like the way the arms and legs are where your legs and arms would be if you were to sit down on the chair yourself. The chair looks like it's a 'found' object and if it is, it would very much relate to my FMP.
