Beginning examples

I began by taking an image off of the internet to throw into a position so I could see if it would be an ideal spot to place a  design. I chose an apple to begin with because it's a highly recognisable shape - people would see it and instantly remember it because it's an every day item for most and it would represent whatever I may put there in the future. I like the whole idea of having the sign there because it's subtle, but it might be too subtle for it to be noticeable (which is defeating the purpose of the task.)

This is a simple sign post design. I was curious as to how it'd look (somewhat like what people have in their homes or in american diners with the whole "NORTH EAST"...blah blah blah. I don't hate it but I most definitely don't love it, either. It's weak because it'd only be noticeable on the way up and if the tree was ever needed to be taken down, we'd have to take them down and sort that out - which isn't fun. The designs look really basic on this but you could potentially vamp it up but the over-all composition isn't very pleasant so I'm gunna have to make a giant skip on the whole sign post idea.
