Inspiration through university visit

This is a chair somebody got (an old, destressed one like mine) and modified. Although it's a completely different result to mine, the concept is very similar. I like that they added actual items (casts) that they created themselves onto the chair - just like what I have done but with painting as appose to actual sculptural type work. Their's came out strong and I think that mine in reflection to this is of a similar degree of completion!
This is a little zine book that one of the students created. I love the leaves (they're almost identical to mine) and I think in future work - if I ever go back to the theme of nature, I would take great inspiration from this. I love the way they created a very 'indie' style zine that you could potentially find in places like urban outfitters - which is where I sometimes find some good inspiring zines.
Here's some lovely looking plants they created. I am a huge fan of the whole water colour look, because it takes down the contrast and saturation of the over-all illustration and I really love that look. If I'd have found it earlier I may have taken even more inspiration from it - but I still love mine too. I love the way they have researched their plants and taken inspiration from actual visual imagery and primary research.
