This 'trippy' idea would definitely stand out from all the rest. Considering that a lot of people are instantly drawn towards very eye catching products, you are definitely more likely to buy it. Personally speaking, anyway. The design would be exciting and would most likely draw you in instantly; especially if you're buying it as a gift for somebody!
You see mugs and jars in shops like The Birds Yard in Sheffield and Afflex Palace, Manchester. They are typically in those places because that's where most individual gifts are found! But this product packaging could be found anywhere. If you was to go into Tesco (for example) this would definitely stand out from all the rest. Usually all products are standard and on the hooks without a packaging when its a mug or cup/cutlery! Which would make this one different to all the others.
The's two would be more than interesting as a product packaging idea. - This would be relatively large, chunky, eye catching and beyond exciting because it would be real wood. It is a very unusual idea which I personally don't think you'd be able to find anywhere. The lid could be hinged like the Left, but also could be unhinged like the left. It would be more expensive to manufacture because you would have to have wood that doesn't rot easily. That being said; would bump the product over-all pricing up which would potentially make people a bit 'iffy' when purchasing which would stump my sales. - That is why selling the product in a printed card box would be a bit better due to product pricing.
