Box research

Box Design inspiration (1)
This design is a good design because it is very out of the ordinary. The implications that come with your box not 'drawing' people in, is that it is generally the foundation that somebody bases whether or not they're going to buy your product. As shallow as it sounds, appearance sometimes is genuinely everything!
It fits with my theme because it is very 'cute', quirky and I had the idea in my head that I could do a box based on the 'Black Lodge' from twin peaks! I could have red, burgundy and black/white colour theme as that is what the main colours in the movie are and I could have the logo as a 'pincer' type-thing on the top that you peel to open. I'd make the box reusable with the pincer some how, therefore re-usable.
I would change the roof style and the window width because they aren't exactly what I'd like for the box. However, I'd generally keep the over-all design the same.
Second
Alternatively, this is a very unique and exciting idea. Instead of having a box, I could have a 'tea cosy' inspired design. That being said, I have looked into the cup having its own tea cosy, in which could potentially act as a packaging idea too. It could have, like the above image, a 'pom pom' that opens up where the tea bag could sit. I'd also have a base bottom, one that allows the mug to sit in for support. This is, however, a product for anyone but the down side is, a lot of people could potentially classify it as 'feminine'. I won't be aiming any of my potential designs at a specific gender because I believe all items are for everybody, despite of what some people deem 'masculine' or 'feminine'.
Third
This design is very simple, {and} may not be the most interesting of designs, but it is certainly worth your money. It's a slide box, which if I was to recreate I could easily draw on it and make it very cute with illustrations. Along side that, the design would have to be larger (more deep, at least) to fit my mug inside, however that would not be a problem. There would also have to be padding, because we wouldn't want the design to destroy the product. The tea bag would be placed inside the mug.
This design could fail because theres a chance that it would slide open if you wasn't careful enough. That would be a relatively large problem. Along side that negative, there holds a problem of the design not being sturdy enough as a hole; for example: if dropped it could crack or even break entirely. I would probably not actually use this design, but I would still consider using some aspects, especially with how sharp it looks and nice.
