EXPERIMENT

As an experiment I just through weighed down wood kid in a saturated photo. This doesn't look overly marvellous but to show how it could work out. However I think that this would work a lot better in forest shots, maybe the odd road shot and I am contemplating black and white.

I do like it in black and white but I think it takes the focus off of the illustration and what's happening in the focal point!

A poster in the style of the work I have previously been creating for DIC. I used my already existing images to create something mildly interesting for an open day at College to present to everybody what kind of work some of the students already on the course create. I put some of my illustration on the poster and particularly chose the Unhappy Birthday bodies because they look like they're floating away.

Idea's for next year - progression goals

Either going into an apprenticeship for Illustration etc or going to find some form of job for the time being. Potentially doing a GAP360 for a year - but that would develop into something on that side of things after Christmas.

Apprenticeships
Current looking into these two things on Direct Gov, Indeed, Reed and other site on the internet where people advertise their apprenticeships. I would love to do a digital media, illustration - something creative evidently. It's difficult to figure out and apply at this current moment, since those that are advertised at the moment are all starting either in March or May, which i'd be still at NNC.

I am searching for apprenticeships and jobs using the Indeed where I am able to have an over-look of all the potential jobs in the fields I am looking for. That, {and} other professions I could be intrigued by. I am a dedicated art fanatic - I adore it and I wouldn't enjoy any other jobs if I wasn't going to do that permenantly.

The places I am looking for jobs/apprenticeships in are Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and potentially anywhere a profession I am interested in, will take me. I am definitely looking out of Worksop as I am not interested in sticking around for much longer.

As of yet, all apprenticeships I have come across are beginning whilst I am still at college, so I am unable to actually look exactly. I will keep researching and hope to find a good apprenticeship along the the way which will take me into my future.

I chose an apprenticeship because I want to move away for one and secondly, I believe that it would look good on my CV for future employers. If I reconsider going to University, a year in the industry will look very good for my university application.

I really enjoy public transport. The sound of people you don't know, speaking, humming, staring out the window, as the train passes the significant nature you don't often see when you're living in a busy area. Sometimes, I wish I could sit on the train all day. Go round and round; just staring and taking in my surroundings and attempting to read the morse code of the human form - body language.

Magazine Poster Idea Inspiration

A piece by kid acne. Very illustrative style and very typical of Kid Acne! The over-all composition is very interesting and it's very interesting which is the aim since it's a poster - therefore the aim is to grab the attention of individuals.

A band poster the screams psycadelic without the multicoloured over the top effect. The colours fit together well and to say it was created by hand since it's 1969, it's pretty impressive and accurate. 

Illustrative and yellow; this Velvet Underground poster for one of their tours definitely grabs their audiences attention with the in your face-yellow-background.

This might as well have "PSYCHEDELIC" in Ariel Bold across the centre of it.

This piece by Pete Mckee is very unique. I like the colour matching and the way he still add's depth to the images. His illustrative style is very unique and isn't something you often see.

Kid Acne's "you & me both mate" is straight to the point and I think that'd do well for inspiration.

Both the above images are very complex yet somehow simple. They both have very interesting boarders and the Jimi Hendrix poster has a very eye catching background. I love the top image's way of representing their image - It definitely catches the audience's attention.

A very 'doodled' illustrative piece by Kid again. Tha can't be from South Yorks if tha dunt like Hendo'.

Simple but obvious.

A poster by Sonic Youth. The image is so very simple and there's a lot of empty space which that combined with the white, draw's your eye's straight towards the focal point of the poster.

A middle image that turns it very interesting. The fact the image break's up the consistency of the box make's it even more interesting. I dislike the constant green/karky tinge but I don't hate it. 

Two more image's that are of the front cover of hippie magazines. They're very eye catching and would definitely make you curious which is alway's a good aspect to keep in mind if you are planning to create a poster.

Collage Media Illustration - All unnamed artist's

This is a very interesting piece that could potentially be a poster. I love the black and white photography combined with the illustration work on a neutral background. I love the detail and the complexity of the over-all composition; I also enjoy the label's to add a sciency feel. 

This is really interesting to me. I like the subtlety of it being collaged and the over-all style. I don't, however, enjoy the neutrality of it all- I feel it would look a lot better if it was just a little bit brighter in the focal points to make a statement and look a little more eye catching.

This is really interesting! I love the eye collage and the blatancy that they're all different and different eyes. The female looks quite a dated image - somewhat from 1980's and the aim of this composition looks as though that's their over-all aim anyhow.

I love this - almost like a piece I've seen prior but with a different material that said piece. I like the idea and I intend on using this as inspiration. Maybe changing up the neutrality, though.

These last two look really interesting and I really enjoy them. The mixed media feel and the idea's are very unique.
